    No we have signed a RIGHT-FOOTED FULL-BACK WHO IS NATURALLY a RB BUT CAN CAN ALSO PLAY LB EFFECTIVELY. <ok>

    A LB wouldn't go a amiss..

    I'd prefer if we got Cisse rather than Miaga, there's just something about Miaga that doesn't fill me with confidence and that he's no better than Ba or Best

    Come on Mike, Derek, Lee, Alan et al, make this one happen. You went in with 10, they want a little bit more, so put up the difference. Give him the number 9 and you'll get a considerable amount back in merchandising, boosted ticket sales and potentially a cup run/higher league position supported by this guy!

    Sorry mate I just cant get my head around how we are in a mess? This is very rich coming from a Newcastle fan after the summer you have had, all be it you have had a good start to the season but I wouldnt say too much when you have Ashley in charge.

    the summer we've had? without trying to wade into your argument i'd say that we've had a pretty good summer in all honesty. we've lost enrique and nolan but i don't know a single toon fan who wouldn't rather have cabaye. we've also just signed one of the best young full backs in italy. i wouldn't say we're in a mess. not that i'm saying sunderland are either mind. like us it all seems to get blown out of proportion when things are going smoothly

    As it happens I am actually off sick today with a chest infection so trying to pass the time thought I'd youtube this guy (No, I'm not Dennis Wise) and he reminds me of Andy Cole, always seems to be in the right place to put away tap ins, has pace, takes pens and looks quite skillful with the ball at his feet in shooting positions. I'll actually be quite chuffed if we signed this lad, won't hold my breath like as we'd have to pay more than his worth since it's the last day of the window and Cashley does not seem to buy unles there is a discount :(
