You can either accept this simple fact or let your prejudice against Bates blind you from it. Despite all the talk of loving the club and wanting to sign a new deal he handed in a transfer request, not player who wants to stay at a club ever does that. So we can either move on or get ourselves wound up about the departure of a player who has now made it clear he didn't want to play for us in the first place.
bATES WILL HAVE MADE HIM ASK FOR A TRANSFER TO SAVE HIS OWN NECK DON'T PUT ANYTHING PAST THAT PARASITE
What evidence do you have that he did actually hand in a transfer request? Is this the official Leeds report into his transfer, as Bates tells it? I have other information that suggests Gradel was quite happy to stay at Leeds for another two seasons and that for some reason no contract offer was made to him, rather he was told he could move on if the right offer came in. What Bates tells the media isn't the truth, far from it, he's a liar and it's known throughout the media. The only way Gradel would have handed in a transfer request, would have been through his agent due to the club not offering any contract, hence he moves before his current contract ends and received a percentage of the transfer terms. Let's be quite straight about this, Gradel was NOT offerred another contract by Leeds and they made it clear to him he could leave.
Don't be silly bigfatboab, if it is on the Leeds United website it must be the Gospel truth. Just like it if it is in the chairman's programme notes it must be accurate. WAIT! Hold on, wasn't Mr. Bates on the wrong end of a court case about something like that? Hmmmm.... One can picture the scenario - everythng taken care of, deal done, all parties in agreement - transfer fee, new contract, etc. "Hold on chaps, the only way Leeds United can do this deal is if Mr. Mad, we mean Max Gradel requests a transfer." Your move Maxie! Bloody liars!!!
Works for both parties, Leeds get transfer fee and his wages off the staff costs, Gradel/agent get a small percentage of the transfer agreement. If Leeds get a new player in, it will be either a loan or a free player, with less wage paid out. Gradel wanted a two year contract at a slightly higher salary, in keeping with a player of his ability in The Championship, Leeds didn't come back to him and forced his hand, if as Simon believes he handed in a transfer request.
Surely Bob Bates would demand he ask for a transfer so he won't have to pay any loyalty bonuses and the transfer can be paid in euros to a bank in why MONACO OR AM I BEING SINACLE
if you're sick of every thread josh then **** off elsewhere but you won't find a Leeds United forum that isn't full of people anti-bates...the worm is turning, i and a couple of others have chanted Bates out from N8 at every single game since this parasite took over our club, now the whole Kop sings it....Things are building, promotion (while welcomed) slowed the building of Anti Bates feeling and all but ended the Ten for Ken campaign but changes are coming. People are starting to stop spending in the ground, if 20'000 people cut back by a fiver thats £100k out of his clutches every home game. An occupying force will only stay as long as the gains outweigh the losses, we must make Bates feel pain so he leaves, he loves a scrap so we must hit him in the only place he really cares about and thats his pocket
do you not see by doing this you are actually harming leeds united??? 100k is 100k that cant be spent on wages or whatever
Get a ****ing grip ya set'o'moaning ****s, no one knows what has gone on. other than he's being sold.
If the transfer request is made up Gradel's perfectly free to come out and say so. Somehow I don't see that happening.
Reported by Duncan Castle, Sunday Times on July 17, 2011: http://twitter.com/#!/DuncanCastles/status/92713999996682240 Whether true or not, the bottom line is that the club has mismanaged player after player after player in the final year of their contracts. Coincidence or a pattern?
