    I saw that. Given our record with English keepers *coughharpscoughfraser* at this club I wouldn't bet on it...

    Only problem is Forster was utter crap. Alnwick on the other hand will very probably become an England keeper at some point.

    To be fair, I was skeptical at first over this. But, after some thought i've sort of come round to think. It's a good transfer.

    Look, the guy is 25. Which, for a keeper is still quite young. He's was touted as league 1's best keeper. Which, is for good reason. I remember watching him play against a team on the TV last season. And had a really good game. Seemed to control his area rather well, and was a pretty good shot stopper.

    I think in 3 maybe 4 years, he could very well be our Number 1. Harper will retire, and sorry to say it. Krul will probably get picked up by a bigger club. So, really this has been a well thought out transfer, with the future in mind. We've managed to get a chap, on a long deal, who still has what 10 years in him. And, it will probably releatively cheap.

    Give the guy a chance before starting the mockery. This could turn out to be, a really good bargain.

    Useful to have in the cups as well, if we're really challenging it's probably best Krul isnt playing 50+ games.

    Would any of you play him against Forest in the cup? I would be tempted to but Krul played so well against Scunny that I'd definitely have to think twice.

    I would. Keeps him happy and gives Krul a well earned rest. Though if we keep Harper it's between him and Elliot for who gets cup games depending on who plays best in training for me.

    Hasn't he got like 1 year left on his contract now? I very much doubt we'll offer him a new contract now with Elliot signing for 5 years and Soderberg/Alnwick very highly-rated. <ok>

    Don't be surprised if he goes tomo I say.. <whistle>

    Elliot is quality, i am gutted he has left us! Hope he does well down your place, he certainly has the talent. Doesn't particularly have any weak areas.
