Looks hideous...seems as though the training kit is purple n black. That's a shame. Hoping we get some classy gear now that we are with Nike
I've got two problems with Nike kits i.) So many of them stick to a template, so unless they have distinguishing features like stripes (i.e Atletico Madrid, Hertha Berlin etc) they all look like palette swaps of one another, and they have this weird fixation on fiddling **** on the sleeves at the moment ii.) While they resisted the urge to mess around too much with most home kits for the World Cup (with the obvious exception of Nigeria) their away kits were different kinds of hideous, with Nigeria's and Australia's being plain ugly, France's and Korea's being unimaginative, and Croatia's being depressing to look at for long periods of time
Bissouma was never a target, bro. Few journos confirmed that, it was just media bullshit that linked us to him. Ain’t arsed about Malcom, was him or Moura in Jan and I think we got the better option, big season for Moura coming up. Signings will happen, Roo-meister! Keep the faith. Super Jack should be done by Thursday according to a few reports.
The Mirror are reporting that Villa need to find £9m by the end of the month, to meet wages, outstanding transfer payments and tax debts amongst other things. There has also been reports from Villa that no offer has been forthcoming for Jack Grealish. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/aston-villa-need-find-9million-12941960 A consultation 'The Levy Play Book' indicates that a £9m up-front offer goes in on the 25th or thereabouts. Chuck in some add-ons and a sell-on clause that we'll buy out for £3.75 in a year or two and that should see the job done. Dr Tony Xia is currently in China. It might be sensible to stay there for a while, or at least stay away from Birmingham for a while.
Hardly a surprise, as it's been rumoured since late May/early June - as a certain poster mentioned at the time. Meanwhile, in Dickhead Town...
Whilst these fans are OTT, I can understand the frustration to a certain extent. Yes we’ve got an expensive new stadium coming, but at the very least it would have been nice to have got 1 or 2 targets in early for what is already a reduced preseason. I know Liverpool have spent fortunes recently and have nothing to show for it in terms of trophies, but as a team they have gradually been improving. It looks like their business in this window is to sort out the obvious weaknesses, and they started doing it early. I just wish we weren’t at the opposite end of the spectrum having done literally nothing.

Despite their spending, Liverpool are still just an injured Salah shoulder away to going from a very good side to an average side. I do admire their intent on getting stuff done though, we should’ve done some business by now but I still feel that come the end of the window, Spurs fans will be very happy. This window is too big an opportunity not to do something big. It’s frustrating but I’m still keeping high hopes.
They would say the same about a Kane ankle injury though, and they'd kinda be right. I think Spurs without Kane are better than Liverpool without Salah but neither team is gonna be winning trophies without them
We’ll see, I guess. Despite the big fees, they do look like they’ve done some good business so far, and perhaps this season those additions won’t make them need to rely on Salah so much. Especially as they’ve got many of them in to early to bed into the team. Time will tell. I think we’ll get a couple of decent additions, but for me the idea of getting a marquee player amongst those signings has completely dwindled now. What looked like such a good opportunity to push this excellent team a step further, is just gonna be a standard window where we’ll have missed a trick. Again.
We’ve actually played really well when Kane’s been out. We’re obviously better with him in the side but we’re no way as reliant on Kane as Pool are with pussy shoulder Mo. Eriksen’s the one we massively struggle without.
It’s too early to judge. On paper they do look great signings but we all know too well how a new bunch of foreigners being chucked in together can go. I still fancy a marquee signing. I ****ing have too otherwise Spurly picks my avatar for the start of the season .
