Tonight my best mate, soul mate, sidekick and loyal companion, Skye, went missing. I was out of my mind with worry and was stomping around the streets with no joy, after about an hour I went back to the house again and a woman had heard Skye was my dog and brought her up to me. She'd got about half a mile away. It was panic stations when I realised she was missing and for that hour all sorts of awful and terrifying thoughts were going through mind. She's my other half and I'd crumble without her. When I seen her again, I slapped her nose (gently) like a thousand times and then give her lots of kisses and cuddles. While that was happening a little bit of water came away from my eye. I just think it's important to talk about this as it's okay for men to cry. It's okay not to be okay. Admin
Honestly mate, I couldn't go through it again. I'm one strong mofo these days but that was overpowering me.
Last time I cried was about a year ago and before that I can't remember, must have been a kid. I cried watching the Nick Cave film One More Time With Feeling, life is harsh and that was a hard watch.
We are all fragile at some point about things that affect the most important in our lives. Nowt wrong in shedding a tear for the ones we care about. Glad it worked out in the end Saffy. I guess crying with relief is better than crying for loss.
