Yep! I've only got a week left till I go back. I'm so used to getting up at 1 in the afternoon so getting up at 5.45 in the morning is going to be so difficult!
God you student have it so easy! However I am proper jealous - I wish I could go back to my college days... good times!
Yep! I've not been active by the way because I've been tied up this month as alots been happening. Hopefully by the end of the week I can pick up my activity but not making any promises!
I've been on here far too much lately! I've spent all the money I had early in the summer so i've not been able to do that much. Would have been so much more sensible if I had saved some of it. Being me though, I spent most of it in the space of a week!
Ain't planning on going to Uni. Fees have put me off and I don't want the debt. The course I start next week is a two-year course so hopefully there should be jobs available by then! I've got two years to think about it though so I might end up going to uni! Are you planning to do Uni then?
Hopefully. The fees depend on the courses and most people can get financial help but don't realize it. I go to Uni but not too sure either. At the moment colleges and sixth forms force students to go Uni really. Only really showing A levels as a option to students who don't know they can do two year courses than can get them proper jobs etc.
Yeah, i'm sure there is financial help which would be useful to me but i'm still not sure on uni. I've always planned to finish college and then try and get a job. If the economic situation is still poor in a couple of years, I might end up going to Uni because there aren't any jobs out there.
There are always jobs around, especially down south so you should be fine. Depending on what you want to do, but an Apprenticeship is always a decent bet once you've finished College. Normally something like 2 years and tend to be a job at the end of it for you.
Yeah. Problem is you read the papers and watch the news and it paints a pretty grim picture for young people. I've never really thought about apprenticeships but i've got time to think about all of this and the college should give me some advice!
Yeah the media put a downward spin on everything so wouldn't pay much attention. I work in recruitment and I'm really busy at the moment so I'm just going on my own experiences.
Yeah, you're right about the media! You do read about rising unemployment and that makes me think that there aren't many jobs out there. I'm sure there are and hopefully i'll find one when I leave college. Got to find myself a part-time job now!
