    Nope disagree here. Best has proven he can SCORE goals at this level. While this Maiga fella.. well 15 goals isn't bad in a season.. but he might just be a one-hit wonder?

    That's why I said possibly better than Best. He's done well for us but I think Maiga is potentially better, Best cant keep up this goalscoring rate.

    I don't know about not keeping up the goalscoring rate - I have a hunch that more regular action might just make Best more consistent. Still need someone else in though.

    Tiote had played at the World Cup a couple of months before we signed him.

    Maiga sounds gash, looks like he's lacking so much technically and his attitude is appalling. He's also clearly just interested in the money, I can't remember the exact quote but he's said nothing of note about the club, just that we're in England and have put an offer together that's too good to refuse. I'd be gutted if we signed him.

    What Maiga's done is roughly the same as what Ben Arfa did this time last year. Meanwhile he's got a good goalscoring record in a fairly average team, and the French league isn't as far behind as some people assume either. I don't understand why people are insisting we go after Nolan Roux, he scored 6 in 28 last season in the top-flight, same age as Maiga.

    i am also a bit underwhelmed by this but if we get him we gotta give him a chance what would concern me more is he's another African and we could possibly lose 3 strikers to the ACN leaving just best and lover at a critical time

    The last 2 aren't premiership standard players yet, especially Sameobi imo.
