It's hardly a dodgy move from Parker, is it?
It's not like he's moving for money or joining a true rival.

At his age it's a simple choice.
Premier League football with a club in Europe, which should give him a good shot at keeping his place in the England team or Championship football with a club that's already out of one cup?
Thankfully Parker wasn't part of the embarrassing exit against Aldershot, so he'd be available to play in the Carling Cup, if the deal goes through.

What's the matter with you?? The guy was single handedly the reason you weren't relegated long before you actually were. Now, quite understandably, at the age of 30 - and being part of the England set-up - he wants, and needs, to play Premiership football. You should be giving the guy a medal, not having a pop, at him.

At least he'll be spared the West Ham Christmas Card...with a picture of Brady in a nativity pose, testing the Dave's latest product. :emoticon-0119-puke:

Given Parkers services and commitment to the West Ham cause as well as his age one would hope that West Ham fans are more understanding than they have been with previous players crossing the divide. West Ham have been a good advisary for Spurs but the reality is the gap between the two has widened.

I am sure West Ham will come up and should the two cross paths I would hope he gets a decent reception, after all West Ham would have probably gone down a season before they eventually did were it not for him.

I make that Scott's 4th London club now, quite a lot but as an ex-Blue I'm pleased to see him doing well and I am glad West Ham didn't sell him to another club, in May I was sure a big club like Arsenal or even Liverpool would come in for him. Arsenal are crying out for a player like him IMO, great buy for Spurs there, only £5m as well and a god 2/3 years left in him <ok>

More sly digs..."in May I was sure a big club like Arsenal or even Liverpool would come in for him."...boring. <doh>

In what subject do West Ham act as our "advisary's"?

What sly digs? All I said is that I feel West Ham fans should be understanding given the circumstances and his service for West Ham.

Would you not have thought Arsenal may of taken a gamble on him? Let's be honest he is better than anything they had out their on Sunday, and as for Liverpool yes I feel he would have been a welcome addition to their squad <ok>

Trust you to find a Sheriffs Badge! <yikes>...anyway, what did you spell wrong?...it was a straight question.

You know that 'big club' is the issue, not Pool and L'Arse reasonings...you think you're sly, but you're rubbish really.

I'll tell you now, I've collected enough evidence of your **** to do something about it...the balls in your court whether I do.

It hurts me that you would question my integrity as a decent poster over a spelling error. I don't see what is wrong or offensive about calling Liverpool or Arsenal big clubs, they are, this is coming from someone that doesn't particularly like either club to put it lightly <ok>

I don't get why you seem to take such huge offence to anything I write, whether it be praising another club or transfer dealings it seems you have taken a bizarre disliking to me. It saddens me that we can't have decent debate, but that is up to you. I would me more than willing to discuss football with you if you oblige.

I don't think any of you are stupid, far from it I just think a lot of you are far to cynical, I have no idea why but that's how I feel.

It is not necessary to put "big club" in a sentence about Pool and L'arse on the Spurs board.

It is also not wise to suggest Spam have been anything like a worthy adversary if thats what you mean...to me, thats actually worse!. Look at the results over say 10yrs between the two teams, when they've been in the same league that is, then come back and tell me your worthy adversary comment is worthy of a pleasant debate?

Like I said, I've got your number.

West Ham and Spurs games have always been closely fought and keenly contested games. The 4-3 was personally the best game of football I have ever seen in the Prem. I think it would be myopic to dismiss them as not being rivals.

Over the last 20 years or so it has been very close between the two sides. But Spurs are obviously much stronger now.

It pains me to admit it but West Ham will go up and deep down you know it, their squad is simply too good for the Championship and I expect Leicester to join them with Southampton, Derby and any two of Millwall, Cardiff, Leeds and Ipswich making the playoffs <ok>

Me too Luke, you know that. Its not about who Luke, its Mr. Snidey here, who after some embarrassing waffle about W.Ham (not spotting 11ish games without defeat) has also failed to say why he was using 'big club' in the context he did, over here. He could have said just Pool or L'arse, or, just a big club with no examples. He could also have said, big club like yourselves, Pool or L'arse, but no, lets put big club and their 2 likely rivals for this season. Like we don't know who the big clubs are. But, as you are also aware, I've dealt with far better wums than him before. <whistle>

Ipswich!?! Someone hasn't been following the Championship particularly closely! 4-1, 5-1 losses to Norwich last season and 7-1 loss at home to Peterborough this season. Squad too good for the Championship? People said West Ham's squad was too good to be relegated, that turned out to be a load of bollocks didn't it!

In 06/07 Sunderland were bottom of the Championship with 0 points at the end of August and ended up winning it fiarly comfortably. You have to be careful about writing teams off in the Championship so early. The reality is in that division you cannot really tell who will finish where until Easter at the very earliest.

History shows that West Ham usually bounce back within 2 years of relegation. Look at what they did to Forest and Watford, both those teams are decent teams and Forest up until recently had an amazing record at the City Ground. Once West Ham get their home record sorted I could see them winning it by nearly as much as Newcastle did a couple of years ago.

I understand what you're saying, but Ipswich don't have the quality squad strength to make a sustained push. I can see a 12th and thereabouts finish for the binners, and lower if they sack Jewell and get a new manager during the season.
