Apparently the 1904 lounge (or 1 904 lounge as Ehab calls it) will not be available for the 2018/19 season. For those that don't know, the 1904 lounge is the smaller of the two corporate lounges, presumably the remaining 1904 members will now move into the Kingston Suite. It would be very interesting to know how many corporates have cancelled, considering it's over a grand a season and they made up around 20-25% of all members, I suspect the fall in income is very significant.
It's still loose change compared to the parachute payments etc, but their actions are now hitting them in their pockets in a not insignificant way. But still, "nobody tells me how to run my business". Their continuing actions make no commercial (or moral) sense whatsoever. Surely they must be on their way out, otherwise the pennies would surely have dropped by now - never mind the continuing embarrassment which will reach new levels shortly (crowd wise). On the other hand, the transfer activity approach suggests otherwise. As much as I hate to admit it, the policy looks clever, given that they aren't going to throw money at it. A complete rebuild, crafting a balanced squad, built around promising youth acquired cheaply or home grown with a needed smattering of experience, with an experienced, highly capable, engaging 'manager' in Nige. **** knows what they are up to.

Did I miss something? According to the transfer thread out goings are 11 players, 4 loans and 9 from the academy with the season starting in less than 3 weeks we have 4 new signings, all cheap.
True. Yes, once again, it's being done late (albeit not as late as the utter shambles of the previous couple of seasons). And the comments are partly based on an assumption of current strong transfer rumours coming to fruition, and on the assumption that the activity continues over the next couple of weeks until Nige gets his wishes of 20 senior outfield players with rest made up of U23 / Academy. Huge assumptions of course, and maybe I'm being too naive, optimistic (shudder), positive. But it does seem to be taking shape finally?
I know someone who's involved in the corporate side and I believe near enough all corporates from last season had quit. Only a couple remained proving it loss making.
I'm sure relegation and the reality of dull Champo opposition has persuaded a few to quit. I'm sure we'd all like to believe it's an ethical stance that corporates are making. In reality a freezing Tues night game in January or February v Bristol City or Millwall is not so attractive for inviting business customers from hundreds of miles away.
Most of the corporate members are just local fans, until now the numbers haven’t fluctuated much between the leagues, the majority of those in the lounge were there in League Two.
What does that say . Ask Ehab ? Does he realise what his negative customer service and comical business strategy has done .
