Maybe we should take these 27 votes as gospel? What you are forgetting is the quiet lot who never use forums or say how they vote. They keep quiet until it's polling day then vote. That happened last time. I will also add that I have not heard of one leaver from my set of mates who will change their vote, however, I cant say that for remainers. Plenty of my remainer mates just want to get it done and move on. Anyway there won't be another referendum so what's the point of this?
I cannot see how any rational and objective view, taking into account the current debacle, would not guide an individual in voting to remain in a second referedum (which I agree won't happen). I dare say you won't be swayed by that and there is certainly nothing you can say that makes me believe this fiasco is, and will be, good for us today and subsequent generations.
apologies - i should have said you don't blame the EU exclusively although i would guess you probably blame them the most. If this isn't true then please let me know who you blame 1. the EU for not giving us a good deal where we can pick and choose what we want as if we are in the club but without having their rules 2. "remoaners" for the not supporting that plan whatever that (in a post further down). i'm not sure why you are expecting the EU to give us a good deal if thats not what they want (i'd think they did but it seems they can absorb the hole) As for 2, do you think it would have made a difference to number 1 if everyone was on the same wavelength? Likewise i don't think the Tories have ever been a party swayed by the people who are not in their support (if anything the Tory party prefer a soft brexit from what i can see). At the end of the day, the Tories can either tell the EU to feck off or accept a soft brexit on the EU's terms. Obviously, your opinion is that the Tories should take the no deal option. That isn't down to the Labour party or anyone else but the Tories as they are the government in power and hold the votes
Because people won't be dictated to or fooled by unelected bureaucrats from Brussels. Rational people voted to leave...they weren't all thick racists you know? `Agree there has been problems due to people trying to derail the process. What you believe is rational/objective I see as undemocratic. We voted out and people still cannot accept the democratic result.
There was a million unanswered questions that people did not know the answers to wrapped up in a yes or no question. Stupid idea for a referendum by a man who couldnt run away fast enough. Oh yeah we can have a trade deal now with Trump yippee doo
I suppose that's what passes for reasoned debate these days - personally prefer your rants. A concession you were wrong would be so much more gracious don't you think?
Okay I am tired now but will try and reply. The EU is undemocratic. This has been proven time and time again. Everyone knows this Big business, the liberal elite/Blair/Clegg and co, the media as well as many remainesr that couldn't accept the result. have all tried to derail this. You then have a split Tory party and a weak PM, a Labour party who is taking full advantage of this for political gain. The Labour party is playing political games. On another note can you imagine Comrade Corbyn trying to deal with Brexit? Corbyn is a sneaky twat. He should also take some responsibility for Brexit. He never committed to the remain camp, why? Because he is a bigger Eurosceptic than I am! At least I can admit it! How anyone can trust him is beyond me. So what do we get? A mess that needs to be cleaned up and quickly. We blew our chances early on but the EU won't let us leave. They say it but don't mean it. So who do I blame? the EU are top followed by an amalgamation of others undermining the process. And yes that includes the Tories.
There was also a million unanswered questions that that people did not know the answers to wrapped up in a yes or no question in 1975 but the result was respected. Since then time and time again the EU has been deciding how we should run our country without us getting a say. Time and time again governments have sold us out to the EU and lied to us Labour and Tory. For me I cant get out of this organisation quick enough. Plenty of examples of other countries also wanting to get out. Italy will be the next to go.
It would probably have been a mess if Labour were in charge of brexit aswell due to a split camp BUT they are not in power...it's the Tories. I don't blame the EU for May and her cronies only just deciding their negotiating stance after 2 years. Any reasonable person can see the Tories have made a mess of this. A remainer PM leading a brexit?!?!?!?! Calling an election to increase their power and it backfiring!?!? Tories should be top of your list once you take your blinkers off.
Remainers can't really have any argument, they lost by a couple of percent. Leavers can't have any argument either as surely this is what you knew you were voting for. Let's all get over it now
Those who voted all knew what they were voting for so I can't really understand why we are having this debate. Leave won and I think that's what's happening....sort of
All that stuff about 'pee tape'? True. All that stuff about his borrowing billions from Russia via Deutche Bank and the son of the recently retired Supreme Court Judge? True. All that stuff about doing a deal to accept Russian collusion and interference in the 2016 election, with all his campaign team and family complicit? True. Seriously, it's the ONLY possible explanation. Russia OWNS Trump.
