I think it’s important we have a home where we offer insights into current board issues which are either hampering the board progress or destroying the board from within. For continuous improvement feedback must be sort, analysed and, where necessary, acted upon. With that in mind I believe it’s a good idea to assist the board mods in what can be a difficult job. They themselves can get sucked into contributing to the issues. I’ll get us started with some key issues I intend to work with the mods to solve. Feel free to add your own. 1. The RHC - it’s all well and good appreciating when the manager does well. In fact it’s crucial his good times are recognised. However we all know he makes mistakes and got us in a real hole prior to Xmas time last year. It’s important that is commented and analysed also. Action - ban the RHC if they start with their ****e 2. Negativity - when Chaos does it, it’s funny. Now we have a load of bandwagon jumpers trying to ride his gravy train. It’s eating away at the board. It's boring. It’s monotonous and pretty childish. It shows a lack of respect for fellow posters and of course drives away new blood, thus hindering growth. Most of it is built on incorrect assessments of the club and it’s owner. Action - make such silly negativity an offence which leads to a one week ban to reflect on why they’re a **** 3. Fat Tunisian Lover Boy - I know the kids an utter ****er but the gang rape of him the other day should be below this board by now. Action - ban him for everyone’s sake Thoughts??
Is there any section of this forum growing in membership, besides the boards where one man is clearly servicing numerous accounts like a schizophrenic junkie...? We're mostly relics/survivors of a previous generation where the internet forum dweller was ridiculed as a pastey bedroom nerd, unless it was legitimized through, I don't know, association with a publicly funded international renowned channel, like the BBC. Eager to chat with fans of the same club, free of our real world identity and thus expected prejudices. 606 collapsed, and we liked it so much we felt lost without telling some stranger what we thought about football. People don't do that anymore, because the internet has become more engratiated, more entwined with the fabric of our sense of self that publically having a staunch opinion is the potential for a vlog, blog, all kinds of og and subsequent career and fame. It's about personal brand, and places like Facebook are now the grounds for the discussion we once had, and will continue to have on here. Porter's Five Forces took a big dump on this site and all the little islands and corners of the interweb the 606-ers scurried off to. Places like Facebook are a big free for all forum, and there is no growth potential for a platform like this.
This, this and indeed this. Agreed we need change - my recommendation is that the Not606 be shut down. The days of 606 were rekindled and it was great while it lasted. Huge kudos to the mods and hosters for keeping it going, but I think now's the time to find the line Pardew lost and draw it. For those that want to trade Failbook/Tw@tter account aliases and/or mobile numbers, give a period of time/notice - suggest we aim for the first game of the season. Then we all get on with out lives. No point dragging out the Ashley vitriol, that is one merry go round that will never stop.
Suck my sweet corn dotted purple dildo you glorious wumming bastard. Now bend that knee to someone other that the silver fox and get a bigger rod. When I was pumping your lass on your sex swing the other night she mentioned you still had that heart shaped fluffy edged picture of him by your bed and you kiss it before climbing into bed in your striped 70’s PJ’s.
I'm surprised anyone would go to the hassle of having more than one account. It must be a nightmare remembering who you are. Oh ****..... Who am I again?
I agree that we have lost our way. As Bri the Oracle has pointed out - its a sad reflection on this board that the longest thread is the one where we laugh at Sunderland. However I think they have to accept part of the blame in that respect by their actions over the last two years. I think we need more structure to the make up of the board participants with greater input from the club. Its unfair that Pouchy is the sole representative of the Club Management and I think that both Lee and Mike should also be offered honorary posting roles, once we confirm that the users Ben10 and Lord Jonjomort are actually not them anyway. We need more games organised by people who follow through and post up the results. The irresponsibilty of starting Prediction Leagues and Headline Competitions and then not following through I believe has been responsible for the loss of many a good poster ....... and Nev. I think we also need a recruitment drive to try and attract the club’s younger fanbase. ACS should be congratulated for being pro-active in this respect although I am concerned that pretending to be a 14-year old girl to attract new members from the Justin Bieber fanclub website may attract the unwanted attention of ****-Hunters. I also feel that the Fredor ban should now be lifted although I fear we may be too late. The unifying effect of us all pulling together to insult him could serve to revitalise the board. If we are too late we could always do an RIP thread.
