I've just realised that your wum **** up, the biggest this site has ever witnessed, has got a whole lot bigger, what with the Hurra adding a World Cup Golden Boot to his name.

You truly are the gift that keeps on giving, mate!

Thanks for keeping the lads entertained.

The only potentially World Cup golden boot winner in history without a decent goal to his name.

The header against Tunisia was a real poacher's goal. Had to twist his body a bit too, to get it on target.

I don't remember any of the others. Were they all penalties?

  9. Penalties are harder to score. The goalie has a chance. The tension can get to a player.

    Not the Hurra.

Best striker in the World, bar none.

    Best penalty taker anyway.

    Since Rickie Lambert.

  11. Do you remember Kane's two "perfect" hat tricks in the Prem, Archie?

How many players score one of those in their entire careers?

    Kane scores them for fun.

  15. Well done, Skiddy. You’ve named one.

There’s not many. That’s my point.

I hope there’s no one stupid enough to try to claim a “**** up” off this.

Quentin, Quentin, Quentin <doh> ... I'm rarely rattled... and never by you yet ... you do evoke an emotion somewhat akin to pity ...
I even find myself half hoping that you might actually succeed in something one day ... even Harry winning the Golden boot is somewhat tainted and almost embarrassing... tap in goals scored against the cannon fodder in the weakest group ... and the golden boot by virtue of penalties and a deflection off his heel ...:emoticon-0184-tmi:

When the games actually counted Harry was rather missing in action and he missed a doozer from a yard out that probably would have put England in the final ... without question the worst Golden boot winner in the history of the award ... and that's an indisputable fact ... if you disagree please name a worse one ...

We both know there really isn't one and that any response you make will avoid an honest answer to the question ... never mind... <hug>

Golden boot winner, 2 poachers goals from set pieces, one freak deflection and a few penalties. Never been known before and probably never again.

  19. It would have been nice if Vardy had got a goal, yeah?

Even a simple tap in would have been something.

But... nothing. Zilch! Nada. Not some much as a lucky deflection off his gypsy heel!

See, I know you, Bambs. I know why it is that you are so violently rattled.

Suspect Quentin has a masochistic bent ... only a complete twat would try and put a positive spin on this particular Golden boot ... if Harry was a tennis player he'd be embarrassingly apologising to Neymar and Lukaku for having the luckiest of net cords ... given it's HIAG he'll be claiming the net cord was always intentional and it's a lot more difficult than winning the point in open play <doh> <laugh>
