    peloton very twitchy due to the worry of what was to come then something happened in the peloton half a dozen hit deck and Porte broken collarbone plus a Lotto Soudal rider out as well - looked like that might be collarbone as well.

    think more of the crashes occurred on the tarmac than the cobbles. It was brutal & Froome was regularly just desperately hanging on to the leading group.
    There will be some incredibly tender bodies trying to sleep tonight.

    <laugh> Good stuff...................Not long seen todays highlights and wow, Sky take control. I'd like to watch tomorrows stage in its entirety.
    Not sure if I can, but some iconic climbs to enjoy. Sky may well increase their advantage.

    Nearing the top of Alpe d'HUez now ... hope Bardet, Dumoulin or Thomas takes this, don't like Froome expecting everyone to do all the work for him, especially Thomas, the other guys are much braver
