I hope he is not in a truly awful state.

At least he has survived it to some extent. It will probably be a long recovery from here though.

Was thinking that too, if there's permanent damage that affects for example speech, nerves etc he'll be in rehab for a long time.
Anyway, for now it's great news and like every other reds supporter I'm truly made up to hear he's out of the coma.

3 months in a coma must wreak terrible physical harm.

Hopefully he will be able to recover

Yeah, very true, as well as the damage to his skull and brain there's the trauma when awakening the bed sores the poor circulation and obvious weight loss.
The man has be through hell, but like you said he'll hopefully recover most of what he had.

And in that time, he's missed Liverpool making the CL final and England to the world cup semi-final too.

Obviously his health is paramount but since he's a football fan he'll be gutted to have missed those two events.

Great news but if he has bed sores should sue the hospital <grr>
They are perfectly avoidable but crop up regularly purely due to not following very basic procedures .

I hadn't realised he was still in a coma. That's horrible. I'm glad he is finally out.

Really good news. Best of luck to Sean and his family that rehabilitation and recovery goes very well.
