Did your kids enjoy it? One of the joys for me was how much my brother's three girls got into it. And they all love Jesse Lingard (two because they're United fans and the seven year old because Jesse is short for Jessica!)
My kids are Welsh mate! One kind of 'supported' us but the eldest definitely did not. Was wumming via text during the Croatia game, the git. On the whole though they got into it.
I watched today's debacle at the Enkel arms pub on Seven sisters road with my three kids, there were loads of old Micks watching the horse racing a few Jamaicans watching the footy with a bunch of English market traders shouting at the screen. My kids played 3 games of pool and spent the rest of the time watching youtube videos. #uninspiring
Scotland went into each and every WC with no real hopes of winning. No one expected us to win, no one predicted we would win so we performed basically as expected, but it seems to make some people feel better if they focus on Scotland's lack of success by engaging in pejorative terminology or revisionism of reality. Surely to fail miserably Dan you have to have had a reasonable chance of success in the first place? Apart from Ally MacLeod, no one was touting us to win the thing, we should have beaten Iran I agree, but we were just plain ****e on the day and so called diddy teams have a habit of causing us trouble so that result was no real surprise as I recall.
