Not a massive problem but I'd just say Mbemba can fill that hole as 4th choice CM.. and 2nd choice RB....and 2nd choice LB... not a master of those trades but jack of all... Or go out and get Wijnaldum DM Diame DLP Shelvey B2B Ki AM Wij
No problem for me. Good luck and hope whatever it is, isn’t too serious. On the ability side I’ve said many times he’s not a PL footballer and I don’t see him developing into one. Gives the ball away far too much to play in midfielder like he wants. I wonder if he should just commit to centre back.
Ok squad player but not a massive loss in my opinion. Rafa sees him in training every day so I guess he'll be the judge. Brentford calling?
£10million. The world has gone mad. But that'll do nicely. Keep Saivet for backup and it's another £20million towards a striker when combined with the Merino money.
Started very well in the championship, then slackened off. Been rubbish in the Prem and will never get ahead of Ki and Diame. Begone.
He's not as bad as some are making out. He had some decent games as a filler but certainly anything over £4-5m and we've diddled someone. I'd put him in the same ability bracket as a Simpson, Perch, Gosling or Guthrie - their careers took very different paths after leaving us. If he leaves then all the best, he's done nothing to warrant dislike. £10m would be insanity though.
Bloody hell! Yes he is not a world beater but was a decent player. So in CM we have Ki, Diame and Shelvey - not going to include Saivet and that knob head with ginger hair - so now we need a LB, a RB, a No 10, a striker (or two) and now 2 CM's. Nay panics everyone - we'll sign another winger! The winger is the NEW lb.
My 1st thought was £10m is a ridiculous amount, but in reality that is what £10m gets you nowadays. It's just as a buying club we are stuck in the 90s. We could do worse than John McGinn from Hibs as a replacement. Might just be within our price bracket too
Simpson a cut above all of those for us from my personal point of view, agree with rest though. Simpson had his own limitations but he had a cast iron attitude. His general level was solid hence he won a title. Guthrie was fat and lazy, gave away free kicks for fun in dangerous areas largely cause he couldn’t be arsed to do the hard yards. Perch lacked the football ability of the rest but he had an excellent attitude. Just very limited. Gosling I could never really work out what he was supposed to be and he was always injured. Hayden was ok at times in the championship but I don’t think he’s a midfielder. His passing awful. His problem is he doesn’t understand the value of a 5yd pass, and because of that he’s never got good at them. That role he is asked should just be won the ball and give it Shelvey in space.
Go **** yourself you miserable twat - if you're so unhappy, why don't you simply go and support Man City, PSG, or Barcelona - I'm sure their spending will meet your needs, or just go play Football Manager instead
