Ostapenko through to the semis pretty easily Williams just gone a set down against Giorgi which is a little surprising, hard job for her now to get back into it, if anyone can it's her though Kerber through as well in quite a tough match Bertens v Gorges could go either way, I'd go with Bertens as she's in good form
Says alot about the state of Womens Tennis, Serena wins when she's pregnant, She wins just after returning from pregnancy. After 9 Monthish out she should be nowhere near the top, but the other top players haven't progressed enough and its almost by just being there Williams is able to pile the pressure on the others and they fall apart.
Watched todays SF, surprised that none of the other women try to make her move more, instead they stay at the back of the court trading big hits with her. Make her run, she's 36 and barely played since having a baby, test her movement. Not enough variety in the womens game and they all play into Williams hands by trying to play like her.
They can't get her serve back but they haven't the power to stop her returning. You are right that they don't make her move about and actually make lots of unforced errors. Her opponent broke back to try come back in 2bd set then immediately lost serve pathetically with unforced errors. Get within the court and move here around 100%
This men's semi-final may be the longest in history but it's boring as Neither Anderson or Isner are very good players, just tall big servers with ordinary all around games If I had Centre Court tickets for today (which are not cheap) and this is what happened I'd be very aggravated, especially since they're making the whole crowd miss out on a Nadal v Djokovic semi which I imagine most were primarily excited about, Anderson and Isner are just side-notes in tennis who nobody really or particularly cares about
i watched 10 mins & decided before i fell to sleep to watch the mens wheelchair doubles SF which was much more fun with Hewitt & Reid going thru on a 3rd set tie break
