Fantastic. That 17k home end will be blinding. And if we ever get safe standing you are looking at a 29k home end :)

"I'm really worried about these Tottenham players, I don't think they know how to win.
"They're very good players but at certain points in seasons and tournaments, you have to step up. There's a psyche players must have."
"You must be able to handle winning emotionally and mentally and if they don't know how to win it, they aren't going to win it,"

I’m sure Southgate will talk to the whole team about that.

As for mouthy idiots, like Adams, he might want to reflect on the 8 out of 12 goals that England scored were scored by Spurs players. Without which the whole team would have been coming home far earlier.

I think a couple of the Spurs lads did well, Kane and Trippier. Rose did okay when called on. Alli and Dier were a let down.
Kane let himself down a bit in the Croatia game, but overall he did well.

Adams' point about them not having a winning mentality stands though.

Like **** it does. Without those goals we would never have got so far.

Please, go and bore somebody else.

How would you compare their performances to the Arsenal players in the England squad, Piskie?

It does stand up. Unless you consider reaching a semi and losing it a "win".

If do, Spurs have 'won' nine semis in a row

I hope it will be. The only sour point on the South Stand is the premium price package for the best viewing areas which has been labelled the "1882 packages".

What's pissed a lot of Spurs fans off about that is for a couple years at WHL for Europa League matches, a large number of fans created an "1882 movement", predominantly it was mainly full of young-er supporters trying to be what I suppose you'd call "ultras of Spurs" but ultimately it did become quite successful, the atmosphere in games was brilliant. The club even began designating certain areas for that support to make it easier for everyone to band in together and it became a good thing, making EL games quite exciting to go too.

Now it seems they've taken the piss by trying to introduce this package (costs over £2k for the season) and I feel they've massively tried exploiting what was initially a good thing for the fans. I haven't checked in recent weeks/ months but the 1882 packages were the only seats that hadn't sold out. I'm lucky in that I was a ST holder at WHL before the massive influx for Wembley/ New Stadium so got to choose my seat early on, grabbed it in the equivalent place of where I sat at WHL and the added bonus is that my section is one of the areas that will become safe standing if it's given the green light.

All in all it should be a great atmosphere but there is a slight concern that section could ruin it a little.

Great post! Thanks for detailed explanation.

Which sections are possible safe standing areas?

I'm pretty sure it's all of the lowest sections of the South Stand.

EDIT: Yeah, all lower sections plus two in high corners.

Poor old Filbert would have a breakdown. Last seen in a padded cell with a straight jacket, mumbling about 6 EPL teams !!

Not that I know of. It'd make sense to do so seeing as away supporters always stand but as far as I'm aware safe standing is scheduled only for those sections in the south stand.

It could do without the ****ing cheese room for the prawn sandwich lot and also the inflated prices in certain areas but yeah, it does look pretty cool. I only live 10 mins walking distance from it so it’s great for me, Wembley was a nightmare to get too and from.
