As I remember it, he only refused to train during the week that he was about to be unveiled as a Real player. Levy had a pissy fit about it and tried to order him back to the Spurs training ground, so Bale told him to do one <ok>

Pickford - 8. Some quality saves.
Trippier - 9. England player of the tournament, defended and attacked brilliantly.
Walker - 4.5. Not a CB. Carried by Stones and Maguire.
    Maguire - 8.5. England's best CB.
    Stones - 8. Very solid.
Young - 6. Solid but offered nothing down the wing.
Henderson - 8. Grafted his arse off, tired towards the end but can't be blamed.
Alli - 5.5. Not at his best but partly down to injury, didn't have the free role he has at Spurs either. Still managed to grab a goal.
Lingard - 6. Was impressive in first two games, anonymous in the rest.
Sterling - 3. Dreadful. Utter ****ing dreadful.
Kane - 7. Barely had any service throughout the tournament but still worked his socks off and could end up with the golden boot.

Trent - 5.5. A little shaky in his only appearance but has a massive future.
Rose - 6. Should've played more, dangerous when going forward.
Cahill - 6.5. Only had one game but made a blinding last ditch clearance, would've preferred him or Dier over Walker.
Dier - 5. Nowhere near his best, would've given a 4.5 but did score the winning penalty.
Delph - 5.5. Not much time to impress but was decent against Belgium.
RLC - 6. Great cameo against Tunisia but thought he was average at best in his other appearances. Huge future though.
Rashford - 5.5. Bizarrely wasn't given enough time on the pitch despite Sterling's utter ****ness.
Vardy - 5. Similar with Rashford but was invisible when he was on the pitch.

Well that shows what a **** Levy is then. Same reason that Modric went on strike too.

That’s what his agent claimed, that doesn’t make it true!

Bale is quoted as saying that he was 'Frustrated and Furious' with the way Spurs handled the transfer.

Shocking times mate. We have mapped the DNA genome of the human body, we've designed 3D printers to make prosthetics for amputees and we can look inside a Super Nova thousands of light years away, but we cannot prevent the bottom of your box of Corn Flakes from turning to dust.

That would've been the gracious thing to do NSIS <whistle>

Like we did when Sylvestre went to Arsenal <whistle>

No, but it gives some context as to why Bale was so angry with Levy, he isn't the only one either.

We wanted to keep him. So Levy fought to keep him.

But, of course, the narrative is that Levy always sells.

Seems like whatever he does, he gets criticised.

I was hoping you hadn't noticed that.

OK come on, what about with Ronaldo. Granted we asked him to stay another year, but we handled that well because he never said a bad word, olbliged, and then moved on with our blessing.

Apparently he'd agreed to let him go and then went back on his word. Same with Modric if I recall correctly.

Every chairman fights to keep his best players, Levy just seems like a bit of a snide **** with it.
