After the transfer deadline is over we are gonna have some fantastic players, we've got a great manager and probably the best owners in the history of our club (Even taking into account Jim Gregory). The future is bright and i really think this could be the start of something big....but PLEASE REMEMBER...its gonna take time for the new lads to gel and start working together so lets not get on their back after the first few matches if things don't quite go to plan straight away. This is what we as Rangers supporters have been waiting for for many many years so lets enjoy the ride....hope to see you all there
Wise words Staines....I grew up in Stanwell btw but now live in Toronto...via Calgary. Won't get back for many games but following them for my 41st season with the same passion nevertheless. If we get our wishes we will have a completely new back four and that could take a few games to sort out
well said mate, the future's bright indeed. you can always expect moaning after we've played newcastle/wolves/villa/everyone else though, it's just the way it seems to be!
Beats losing to Vauxhall Motors in the cup though. Its a bit eye-watering looking at the fixture list to see where the easy points come from....you realise there arent any!!....i think we need to look at teams like Stoke and Fulham (not necessarily for their playing style in Stoke's case) and use them as a benchmark for the next 2/3 years. Once we've survived a season or two which would be a huge achievment in itself and we've hopefully moved stadiums to generate more cash then we can consider a more ambitious future...but lets be honest a regular top 10 finish and getting past the 3rd round of the FA Cup would be a huge step forward
Lads i just hope the moaning stops for a bit.......i'm not saying lets all have a group hug and big love with all the players and manager ALL of the time. If a player has a bad game then by all means comment on it...BUT lets give it time. I have NEVER in all my years felt as happy supporting Rangers...I'm smiling all the time and need to pinch myself every so often just to make sure i'm not dreaming. We as supporters deserve this 'cos we've been there through some really rough times, both on and off the pitch. Thanks Tony, Thanks Amit and Thanks Neil....you've made a few grown men cry with happiness this last few weeks
