Give the kid a chance - players only get better through playing - Adkins is not stupid - his job depends on results so do you really think he would play someone who is that poor that could cost him his job?

so we have one experienced player and one who is inexperienced. though not really, because he played many games in non-league. you're just a glass half-empty type of person.

 

Right this Martin thing is getting stupid.

I can understand you all want him in the team playing regularly as you think he is better than he is due to him being local and you want him to be the future. the fact of the matter is, he isn't this good and will never be that good. Just because a player comes though our youth team does not mean he's going to be the next big thing to move on. Martin will probably find himself playing league 1 or championship football at the most, not premier league with us. He is not good enough to be starting atm as Jaidi, Fonte and Seaborne are all better defenders than him so deserve to be above him in the pecking order. When we go up, Martin will not be part of our plans at all.

 

i watched him at college for two years and he was fantastic then. he captained the england schoolboys at wembley alongside CHRIS SMALLING. look where smalling is now because he got a lucky break a couple of years before aaron. you know nothing.

 

Non-league experience or not, he's still inexperienced at this level.
