No I’m on the Costa Blanca. About 30 miles north of Benidorm. Not on the coast, am in valleys. Staying in the Orba valley which makes lots of olive oil. The other side of the mountain is the jalon valley which is a massive vineyard basically. I’m about 4 miles from the coast. If you drive down in the camper you’ll come right past here. Some amazing places to stop. Valencia is amazing then if you stop for a night there is a big campsite at Oliva Nova, next to the golf course. Sierra Nevada is meant to be very good as it’s not overly busy. A mate of mine from here owns a cave house there. Apparently you can go skiing in the morning then half hour drive and can be sun bathing on the coast.
Just spent a few hours at youngest school "garden party" Tomorrow at eldests graduation. Had to buy a new suit and everything. Going be a long day
True. The Sierra Nevadas can be skiied almost all year round if you get high enough. Although the season finishes in May, The drive down to the Costa Tropical would be more than 30 mins though,
Was merely repeating what I saw in a tv programme. I’ve never been. A mate of mine who live Mojacar goes snowboarding there quite frequently. The only negative I’ve heard is there aren’t the facilities you’d get in the alps.
It’s not up to the standards of the top alpine resorts, but then it’s cheaper too. I like Mojacar. Especially the old pueblo. Vera has a fabulous beach too.
