Good to see Bielsa making an impact a free Middlebro flop and your 28th choice keeper looks like joining <ok>

It's very unfortunate for keepers that there's only one on the pitch at a time. We've just bought Smithies from QPR for 3.5 mill, but where does that leave our Etheridge who played a blinder throughout last season to get us up?

Outfield players have far more opportunities to get a game. Left sided wide man can play on the right and vice versa, attacking players can play up front or in the hole, midfielders can switch around, FB's and CB's can very often fill in for one another. For a keeper, once someone has established himself as No.1. It can be very difficult to dislodge him unless he gets injured or makes some complete gaffs.

Life for a second choice keeper is very frustrating and patience in football doesn't always sit well - it's a hard won virtue.

My thoughts exactly. If he is not handled correctly he will be off at the first reasonable offer.
Then what will we have to say.

If it’s a fair fight, bpf will be fine. If Blackman has must play clauses in his contract he won’t be fine.

Blackman was poor first half of the season and dropped by the blunts, came in later on and played well. Not sure he’s a guaranteed starter unless his contract says so.

So what’s the point of the signing if he’s not much better or experienced than what we have (other than to make up the numbers)

I must admit, I’m slightly concerned Bielsa could walk out claiming it wasn’t what he signed up for, if he did Rads would lose every Leeds fan on the planet, he’d fall straight into the GFH and Bates bracket.

So we can safely assume Gunn and Stockdale were first and 2nd choice and we end up with third choice, sounds familiar

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has revealed Leeds United fans were "absolutely mental" during his visits to Elland Road throughout his career. Scholes, who was speaking as a pundit for beIN SPORTS following England's 2-0 victory over Sweden at the World Cup, revealed that he never felt intimidated during his career as a footballer.

The former England and Red Devils midfielder was discussing which team the Three Lions may prefer to face in the semi-finals believing that if Russia had progressed instead of Croatia the Moscow atmosphere wouldn't have been an issue for Gareth Southgate's men.

When quizzed over whether he had ever felt the pressure of an away crowd Scholes simply replied "no", before turning to fellow pundit and former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson to back up his point with a smile. "We loved going to places where everyone is baying for blood," he continued.

"It's brilliant. You'd go to Leeds, I know it's on a domestic point of view... psychopaths! Absolutely mental fans. "But there's nothing better than going there and winning a game."

The problem in this case is we have a young goalkeeper who I believe is top class and should be number one looks like being kept out by someone on loan.
