Ashley wouldn't sell Lascelles' nutsack for that! West Ham are floating a stupid amount of money about this summer, much like they did last summer. We can not, and will not, compete with these behemoths.
They've been told he is not for sale, which is basically ashley code for "make me a really stupid offer and you've got a deal!" Why should we sell our star players on the cheap just so other clubs can sell them on and make a profit. You can guarantee as soon as he makes the England squad if he continues to improve over the next season or two, the big 4 will come sniffing and they'll be dangling in excess of £50m in front of mikes fat face. I genuinely think Lascelles enjoys working with Rafa and I would chose to stay here over playing for that fossil Pellegrini.
It was always coming from somewhere. West Ham are having a real go with the managerial appointment and spending. They are now hurriedly trying to offload some in Kouyate and Antonio. The latter would be interesting but he doesn’t really fit Rafas set up.
I do not think we would sell unless it was a silly offer in excess of £40million. So we need not worry!
Have to accept that if the big offer is there we have no choice. Nobody does really except Real, Barca and Bayern. Hope he stays.
