Wouldn't surprise me if he saw out the last year. Would like him to stay longer personally.

i don't mind him staying another year.

He needs to attack a bit more rather than focussing on keeping a structure and just passing the ball to hazard though.

    Those aren't good tactics

Boris Johnson has resigned as foreign secretary because he wants to be next Chelsea manager.

He needs to drop Bakayoko and play Hazard further up the pitch, he was way too deep at time last season it was as if he wanted to control the game like De Bruyne and he's not that type of player, your tactics last season were all over the place at times.

Not about ego, but the means by which they measure their
contribution to their fellow man. When your profession is
money, then the only means of measure you have is the money
you make for / earn from your customers/employers.

Another variation on this is job complexity vs importance.
Some jobs can be done by morons, but they are far more
important in the grand plan than jobs whose complexity
requires far greater intelligence to undertake.

    that's not it.

We were like Argentina at times. No one at the back and the wings/centre mid can spot/play a pass first time. Everyone wants a few touches and the ball moves slowly and the supply line forwards get nothing.

Then we play hoofball to that wimp morata and lose the ball.

Didn't matter where hazard plays, all you need to do is congest the middle and press us and there is nothing to this chelsea side.

I'm sure there are tactics I missed but I proved the Hazard thing to a mate last season with a heat map of his movement in a game and he was all over the middle of the park, he's not a clever player and he needs to play up top.

no he doesn't need to play up top. It's because he's up top that makes our width even worse.

Just put 3 DMs/3CBs across the park and he'll try do a few and either lose the ball or pass it off and has no impact as it's too congested.

What we needed was some width (and part of his should have provided that) but he was free to go where he wants.

Oh and also hazard needs to shoot more rather than trying to skin players or do some sort of cruyff turn, reverse pass, arsenal walk the ball into the net

I reckon he can do it. But he needs to improve his passing and shooting but most importantly his mentality. As you say he should stay further forward like messi and play on the half turn but whilst messi is deadly, hazard too busy showboating.

Anyway in this current chelsea team, he shouldn't play a free role as we don't have the correct play in the wide areas and that's where he is best.

i was thinking more coutinho myself.

    <whistle>

I think whats more important is to get the right manager in.

Under Conte, the team won't ever be expressive.

Fatal assumption by you, mate. I am a true engineer.

I enjoy both solving difficult problems and the tech
used to do so. The (decent) money that I earn is just
a pleasant bonus (beyond paying the bills) .
