Bit annoying if we let Simpson go so cheap - is there really that much of a quality gap in terms of footballing ability between Simpson at £300-600k and Waghorn at £1.5-2 million? If we sell him, we're surely not going to get someone as good for the same price?
Agreed. ****ing shocking business if those prices are accurate. Simpson really isn't bad there is definitely a good player in there who started shining alot more toward the end of last season. I'd sooner just jeep him.
Lets be honest, he isnt good enough. we bought him for 50K with add-ons if we get promoted. 50K isn't bad for a player like him, but he hasn't done anything. He's scored 5 goals last season? When he should of scored over 10 with the amount of chances he's had. He doesn't look interested, he's got awfully bowed legs and hes got size 15 feet. He's just not a suited to this league, not good enough. We need a finisher!
His track record shows he is good enough, he scored a 12 for QPR and he's still only 22. I hope it's only a loan because he's got the talent to be a top player.
At this moment in time, I'd take £300K for Simpson. Personally I think he's decent, but was hot and cold last season - we need someone to consistently perform and score a decent number of goals alongside Fryatt, for me Waghorn is a far better option.
Might as well try and get Marlon King back as sign Nile Ranger. But just maybe LCFC will throw Howard into the Waghorn deal. I am led to beleave that Steve Howard has family connections in this area. A bit like Rosey i think ? City should be looking to offload Dele rather than Simpson. All Simo needs is some confidence. We have seen already what a confident Simo can do and his best games were when Cam.Stewart played.
Ok he has a track record of an ok goalscoring striker, not gonna set the league on fire but he can put the ball in the back of the net. BUT...we have no evidence of this? He scored 5 goal all season? and 4 was in 2 games. People can slate Koren all they like (not saying you lot are, just in general) but the fact is he was a big player for us last season.

Sven has said that they are awaiting for Nugents scan results before they make a final decision on Waghorn. I would be very surprised now if Bristol City accept any bids for Maynard. Yakubu @ Everton is available for Sven to sign up.
I really hate to be nasty to a woman... But are you stupid? Why would we go for Marlon King when a) he has just joined Birmingham this summer and b) is injured. Why would we get rid of a player that we have signed this summer as well? It makes no sense. Although I agree Simpson should be kept.

No i am not stupid. I was using King as an example as to why City should not even think about Nile Ranger. Hope that is now clear. As for Dele i like what he does. He does what it says on the tin nothing more. Give the man a chance i say. But if he wants to leave and who could blame him for all the hassle he has been given then let him go. Pure and simple.
