Sunderland AFC’s new home and away kits for the 2018-19 are unveiled for the first time today.
The new home shirt sees a return to broader stripes, and features a round neck, which is favoured by players and supporters. The logo of Betdaq, the club’s new principal partner, sits prominently on the front of the shirt, along with the logo of technical partner, adidas and the club crest.
The shirt is complemented by interchangeable shorts, in both red and black, giving options for when kit clashes occur. The kit also features red socks with a red and white turnover cuff, and both the shirt and shorts feature ventilated adidas climacool® technology to keep wearers dry and cool.

The away kit is black, with a red trim on both the shirt and shorts, and the Betdaq logo is also featured in red. The BETDAQ logo will not appear on junior sizes shirts.

The home kit will be on sale exclusively to 2018-19 season card holders on Friday 20th July. Season card holders will be invited to attend a special event to mark the kit launch at the Stadium of Light, further details of which will be announced very shortly.
It will then go on general sale to all supporters from Saturday 21st July at all three stores - the Stadium of Light, Debenhams in Sunderland and The Galleries, Washington.

    Ducking hell.

They are so much better. Proper old stripes and grandad collar.

I like the away kit too... might even get father & son tops for some away games this season

Better than the plastic bag theme but still not keen.

Think the home strip looks cheap.

Like that home strip, away strip looks more like training gear to me though.

Unfortunately the sponsor's logo is pretty manky. Horrible font with those serifs. They need to hire a ****ing typographer to sort that **** out.

Not something I'd shell out for personally.

Typical basic Adidas fare. Hopefully next season we'll get a more interesting supplier, like Hummel, Macron, or Le Coq.

Not bad at all, the home strip particularly. Agree with Disco that the sponsors logo drags it down a bit.

Wonder how much some design wizard was paid to come up with that logo?

Could have been worse I suppose......

That stupid button on the home strip drags it back into the 20th century. The away strip is just 'meh', dull and boring.

Looking at it again it kind of looks like the bedsheets they'd use in brothels.

Never been in one. But I imagine it's just our away shirt draped all ower the ****ing place.

The more I look at it, the more I like the last one. At least that was a little different (even if it was the same template as la Real) but this just shows how far down Adidas list of priorities we are.
