Was told by my son that the pubs in the town, were ordered to shut by the police. It was for a couple of hours from around 6.00pm and the idea behind it was for the lads (and lasses) who'd been out all day to go home before the inevitable happened.

 

Where was that mate? ... obviously don't say if you'd rather not

 

It's the closet town to where he lives which is Gravesend.

 

That's what I'm hoping for mate. They've been pushing the first team for a while so now is their time to shine. There's a lot if talent there still.

 

Do they have problems with youngsters and alcohol generally? ... just seems a bit draconian ...

 

Alcohol is the least of Gravesend’s worries.

I don't think so. I don't tend to go to Gravesend as it's around 10 -15 miles from where I live so can't really comment.
