i'm going to be slated like hell for those posts

i was frustrated at seeing such behaviour, i fully realise it's a minority and it could easily happen in scotland
i just get angry seeing such things

i still want england to win the world cup.

Thought England controlled the game pretty well, and Pickford was on hand to make 2 or 3 good saves when needed. Harry had a good game, though giving away that free kick in stoppage time was a bit naive, even though they blasted it over the bar. Nevertheless, he was right up there again for MOTM, and doing what we all knew Harry was capable of doing.

Thought Henderson had a good game, and Sterling worried the **** out of them if only he knew how to score!

Doesn't seem 5 minutes since he left us, but reminded me of a nice picture I got with him and my Grandson.

I thought the club Tweeting another one like this Harry today please, show a Video of him scoring a header for us, and then him duly obliging was a nice touch by the club.

If he wins the next two England games then it’ll be official too

Hope things continue improving at that end

I can moan with the best of them about sanitisation of football, but if you can watch England play Columbia and then England play Sweden and still think that there is no cultural differences between nations then I’m amazed.
For me the reason that this World Cup is so good is that it’s been the antidote to so called ‘top class’ football when you literally could have the same ‘best’ players drifting around teams in any country simply following the cash.
Ok there’s a bit of nibbling at the edges (such as Moscow’s local lad Fernades) but it’s largely the case that each team is genuinely representing their country and they are genuinely different people from different cultures.
If you disagree that there’s no cultural differences anymore then simply look at the photos of the Japan dressing room after the game.

Like you I certainly feel there is a difference, Columbia was a bit like the Argentines in 66, they just tried to kick England off the park.

    That's a great picture john.

If sir Steve Bruce had stayed and allowed to carry on with the great Job he was doing what a team we'd have eh. Cos Harry would still b here, robbo too. Jakes had England games too.
Fancy hull city with two current England internationals.
    Heartbreaking.

Just woke up. Still a bit drunk I think.

Can't believe we are in the semis!

    Come on England!

We had a drunken Conga Line around the house and into the garden at the final whistle. 15 Swedes and me. You have to say they're classy even in defeat.

    English do what they want!!!

You clearly have selected memory of the Scottish supporters at Wembley during the home international days.

Apart from that i agree that too many( although still the loud minority) act like dickheads at these times.

I guess we will never know whst scenes there would be if Scotland had success at a World Cup, but we have seen evidence of what Scottish football fans are like when they lose - Rangers fans in Manchester for example.

Only 3 months ago he was part of another back line that went one better and lost 5-0 at Palace.

Whilst that is minority behaviour that needs condemning. Football was on yesterday so they are connected, but I would wager similar happens (Emergency Service Vehicles damaged) on most weekends of the year in different parts of the Country when football isn’t on.

In Scotland it’s how the football majority behave. We’ve witnessed it season after season. from Wembely to Trafalgar Square to Manchester to their own Cup Final.

Brady your Jock support is neither wanted or needed. It is embarrassing, I hope Scotland lose every game they play. I take joy out of the fact that they usually do. I suggest you hunt down & condemn your own Scottish scum who have been behaving like this for many more years. You may then consider setting up a Countrywide chip removing service. Your whole tinpot Country has one on their drooped drug infused shoulders that needs removing.

We are England. We are proud, Without us Countries would fall yet we survive alone.

We don’t need Taffs, Jocks or Paddys to be Great. We are the Great in Britain. We carry the rest, civilise them & drag them, against their will, out of the third world.

    **** off.

    It’s coming home.

John Bernstein isn’t Harry Maguire. There's not one quote in that article. It’s just a reporter filling columns.

You’d have to be a special kind of thick not to see it.

'a special kind of thick' - what the ****'s that - you'd need to be a special kind of thick **** to think otherwise -- we we're lucky to have Harry and even luckier that Silva paired him with Ranocchia - it made both Harry's and Silva's reputation in those few months

Maguire played 33 times under Bruce in the 2015-16 season, he was a first choice centre back, unlike Bruce Jnr.

    Rewriting history.
