For me all the credit goes to two people. Firstly Southgate for setting the right team up against dull stubborn opposition and Pickford for two brilliant saves when it failed.

Matth, I say this with the best of intentions but its hard to support comments about you being bullied when you're so aggressive and reactionary. I don't agree with victim-blaming, its a dreadful assertion in such issues as rape, etc, but you really don't do yourself any favours at all in this instance. On the contrary you just seem to invite it on even more. Can I politely suggest you re-consider adjusting your behaviour, your approach and demeanour to this forum and try to make it a more pleasant place to be involved in for yourself. Otherwise this place will be no more than a perpetual battleground for yourself. You catch more with honey than vinegar.
We've not got the worst academy, have we. There's a few more quality young players at the club, we are in a perfect position to let them learn their trade in the lower leagues and we don't even have to loan them out now. They could do the full journey with us, if we climb back up the leagues.
Both Jordan's are at good clubs over on Merseyside, both proved they were ready to step up, and now both doing well for England. Sure the academy will produce a few more soon. Was good to see Larsson is still utter ****
