Admittedly with an eye on an easier passage for England, I’ve wanted every dirty cheating South American team out and they’ve now all gone. I wanted Portugal out as I don’t like Ronaldo, Spain as they think they’re better than everyone and Germany as I just don’t want the Germans to win.

The only team remaining that I really don’t want to go any further is Russia. As long as it’s not Russia if England do exit I don’t mind the rest.

Nice one OLOF,but stats or mathematical therioes don't usually apply to football.
Watched the match with some belgian mates,free beer all night!
On a side note.was there ever a worls cup semi finals without:
Germany,brasil,argentina,italy,holland,spain?

and I think you are correct about not one of the big teams being in the semis for the first time ever
