If Neymar starts his antics tonight with his dying swan routines I’ll change my allegiance from Brazil for the first time in any football game except for when they’ve played England since 1970. I detest him as a footballer that much. Yes, he’s a very good, not great, footballer but his play acting is totally reprehensible and indefensible. I grew up watching Pele and Gerson and Jairzinho and then later watched Zico and Socrates. There’s more recently been the real Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. All great players and none of them needed to act like Neymar whose pain thresholds are so low that they have set new standards which mean Neymar isn’t safe if the wind reaches 1 on the Beaufort scale. He fails completely to recognise his responsibilities to football and young children who watch him show why 6 doctors are on 24 hour call in case he gets a splinter. For me he’s on his last chance and if he lets me down then Howay Belgium.
Good game. Belgium v France could be even better. Unofficial final arguably. Both sides are better than any of the 4 in our half of the draw.
Agree, although I think the one near the byline where there was contact was a case of him knocking in on out of play and never having a chance of getting the ball.
I think we'd have a better chance of beating France if we reach the final. Their semi with Belgium should be a cracker.
