I think Wenger is a very wily.... The more I think about that nasty result on Sunday, the more it's clear why Wenger set his team out like that day.... If rumours of a friction between Wenger and the Board are to be believed, then how else could he convince the board that re-inforcements are needed? Why would he take off a DM at 5-1 down and replace him with an attacker? Why would he strip the squad of squad players like Denilson, Eboue, Bendtner, Vela etc before suitable was in place?

Well I'll tell you, for so long now Wenger has been using the afore-mentioned players to shore-up things at Arsenal...... If these players had been available we would still have lost, but not by that margin, the board would have said well not many teams get a positive result at Manure blah blah.... But right now they have been shamed into acting FAST....
So well done Mr Wenger, you are too crafty!

PS: Wipe your tears chaps/girls, it was a result stage-managed by Arsene..... it was all a ploy to get the board to spend some money....... I don't think we were meant to get 2goals, stupid boy Walcott did not follow the script....

M'vila, Hazard/Gotze, Metsacker - quality over quantity - Arsenal fans will be happy. If he messes it up, he should get sacked/leave.

Wenger would never choose to lose 8-2 to man utd on purpose. Everybody has to know that right?

You are crediting Wenger with far more wile than he has ever had.

He would never have dreamt that one up in a month of sundays.

And as for Denilson, Eboue, Vela and Bendtner making any difference whatsover remember 5-1 at WHL with some of those playing.

Hopefully Denilson will get a dose of the clap down in Samba country and get refused entry back to Britain. Absolute brainless waster, if he was half as good as he thinks he is he would be decent. Sadly he's not and no one would touch him.

Do you honestly the board would have made any signings if we had gotten anything from Sunday's game? Do you also think Wenger is so inept to allow his team lose that heavily, I was watching on Sky, my initial thought was we were going to be hammered, I actually posted 7-nil.... on this forum. So if I can see that, you think Arsene did not? Of course he saw it!

That's hardly the same as saying Wenger deliberately engineered the defeat by substituting Coquelin. (Which is what the OP seemed to be saying).
