With all the stories in the press about almost every footballer in the world, who really does like all the tension, the anticipation and dissapointment.Just thought it would be interesting to see your thoughts on the whole thing.

I'm sure that it's exciting for the fans of some clubs, as they may pick up that last player that makes their team complete.
For us Spurs fans though, it's a bloody nightmare.

I hate the way it always plays out, but have to say I love the buzz of checking Sky Sports News every 15 minutes to see if there has been any progress. To me it's like watching a game with the rollercoaster of emotions that come with it.

Depends - When we sign Van de Vaart or Kranjcar it's lovely, when we sell Berbatov it makes me

Have to admit I love deadline day. Sky Sports News website gets a thousands visits by me during the day and then as soon as I'm through the front door from work, channel 515 is on until midnight with no interruptions! Though I usually end up disappointed in the end!

No - but we are looking to buy players to stabilise us at the top end of the table so the next manager has a core of talent to work with next summer.

Deadline day is class, but so frustrating for us. So much excitement that ultimately leads to disappointment, however.

Some might have just seen harry's interview.

Parker is all but wrapped up, clubs are enquiring about crouch and he seemed like he knew something would be happening as adebayor has arrived. - very different to his moaning after the city game about knowing nothing about crouch. He also stated that we aren't finished yet and he thinks there could be more. Sky also mentioned something about us and fulham trying to get muntari.

Doubtful in my eyes this one, we looked at him last year didn't we? and said no.

And if we haven't gotten rid of at least 3 midfielders (Bentley, Jenas, GDS) then getting in another would be crazy, even with our injury troubles.

If we were after Diarra and that's gone south, then Muntari would make some sense, though.
He's another of Redknapp's old players, too.

Now we have Parker coming in (whoop-de-doo) and Sandro due back in 2-6 weeks, is he necessary though?

Diarra offers a lot more than Munter in my opinion, but who knows PNP and as you say its another Harry old boy.

I hope we don't to be honest. we seem to hear this alot: "we'll only bring in players that'll improve us". IMO muntari wouldn't offer any improvement on what we already have.

surely with keane going, VDV's fitness always a question, pav just generally being ****e and Crouch looking like he could be leaving.... we need another striker? i hope to god levy is pulling something out of the bag.

Gary Cahill would be a quality signing if it happens and I hope Crouch leaves!

Transfer deadline day is great IMO - I love watching all the drama unfold and considering we like leaving everything to the last minute it makes it worth keeping an eye on....

TDD serves no purpose, other than for SSN to justify their existence - and Man Utd to resort to kidnapping Bulgarian strikers to be sure they sign them...

The main problem I have with the window - other than the one outlined above, plus clubs slapping a hugely trumped-up value on their players as soonas there's a half-baked rumour of a key player leaving (Andy Carroll, I'm looking at you...) - is that it assumes that all leagues in the world play August-May seasons. The problem is, they don't - Pav and Sandro are prime examples of players signed within the window, even though they'd literally just finished playing a full season in Russia and Brazil, and they just weren't able to slot into the team as a result.

I enjoy watching things gradually build up until a frantic last hour. When we signed Van der Vaart last year it made my day, loved it

TDD and the forums stop me from only looking at porn on the net, which is good for my health I suppose?
