I work with children with ASD and/or ADHD and/or attachment disorders. The ones with ASD exhibit it in many, many, many different ways BUT I've yet to meet one who is self-aware of their autism. It's almost a contradiction of the condition to be self-aware. At best someone with diagnosed ASD may know they're different but they don't know why. The ONLY one that comes close is a boy I worked with who had other primary difficulties such as severe physical speech and language AND huge attachment issues. The ASD was extremely mild although evident. But the main reason for his abusive behaviour was DEFINITELY his attachment disorder. He basically behaved like a 2 year old with tantrums. And thoroughly abusive when he didn't get his own way, both verbally and physically. But nowt to do with his (mild) autism. Matth's outbursts and continuous reference to his autism just don't add up, and I agree, wherever he is on the spectrum it has very little to do with his behaviour on here. Just my opinion based on professional experience.
I have. Ended up in the cooler a few times too. A place of reflection. If you ever go there I've left a gram of weed under the tile by the sink. Next person in can have it.
Even though it clearly is a drug, it's probably a lot less harmful than the ones his doctor prescribes him
