Forgetting the bottle deposit, best price in Munich for Spezial is €0.99 from Edeka, although availability can be a bit erratic. This is a good price considering Karstadt charge €1.19!
Don't like off-licences down here at all, for various reasons.

You go on the web and you put in that you want a hotel in the Algarve but there is no option to specify that you want the hotel that the fit bird from the advert is staying in. Who cares whether it is the cheapest room? She is surely worth the money...

  3. So I fully accept that I'm an old curmudgeon anyway but England doing well in world cups is a little like being in pubs on New Years Eve. Some random bloke tried to hug me in the pub on Tuesday night FFS - wouldn't mind but he wasn't even my type <whistle>

  7. It's the furthest we've got since 2006 so yes it's doing well. I'm an England fan in my late 40s ffs - I know how the end always is.

Glad I was not in the pub when they showed scenes on the local news from various venues. When the Dier penalty went in the numpties all leapt in the air with pints still in their hands, thus showering the whole crowd in lager.

This not being Japan, some poor sod will then have had to clean up the mess when they had all gone home...

Buy yourself some proper ear muffs. I cannot believe that it is that cold in France in July.

Anyone want to have a stab at this from the BBC?

"The GBT community today, by supporting the rights of males who "identify as lesbians" (also called "transwomen") over the rights of lesbians to choose their sexual partners (on the basis of their sex, not how they "identify") is in fact enforcing heterosexuality on lesbians. This is a misogynistic and anti-lesbian manifestation of the rape culture we live in."

I am not from the BBC, but where has the ‘L’ disappeared to in LGBT? Is this a splinter group? Surely we should just stick to the good old fashioned generic term “queers”. I ‘identify’ as straight...

Maybe I'm one of those cast in stone too. I have morals and nothing will budge them. Two males kissing makes me feel sick and it really pisses me off that you can't watch a single soap without having that thrust in your face. The thought of one male ramming his thing me bob up another male's arse is so repulsive I can't describe how sick that is.

If people want to be like that, it's up to them; but please don't enforce it on every normal person. I'm afraid to watch the TV now, especially while I'm eating
