If we had an offer, I think we would jump at it... If as I think there is no offer see what magic Steve and team can do.... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
I think we should have put him out on loan a year ago - let him try and find his form with someone else.
It’s like having a suit hanging in the wardrobe that you keep because you might wear it one day, even though you haven’t since the day you bought it. He deserves a chance elsewhere if another club wants him, or a loan as stated above, to regain his confidence as a striker
He’ll score 20 goals this coming season, you mark my underpants! Most likely for somebody like Forest Green, though.
If the offer is decent then let him go, otherwise let him warm the bench and fight for his place. He'll more likely miss the bench and end up on his arse though.
He'd be behind Smith, Smyth and Sylla for me so I wouldn't block an exit. Seems like an honest, hard working bloke though so wish him well, with us or elsewhere.
My biggest worry is that McClaren is the only person at the club who doesn't know how many chances CW has been given to impress and how many times he has disappointed. Surely even the player himself would now be more comfortable achieving something at a League 1 or 2 outfit rather than continuing to fail in the Championship?
I still think he's probably got it in him but his confidence needs constant maintenance and I don't know if we should be committing that much resource to a single player. He's had plenty of chances. That said I don't dislike him.
Eze, Oteh, Smyth, Smith (and possibly Wheeler) are all we need. Different horses for different courses!
I would rather him go. He just hasn't got the quality for our level of football and this league. At a stretch, I'd give him until the Winter window to show us a complete turnaround but I really don't expect it. If a decent offer comes, we must take it and use the money to buy a better player.
