The Stoke boards have been showing signs of exasperation with Kenwyne. This is what the City fan previewing Saturday's match at Salut! Sunderland says about him: I think so far he̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s pretty much lived up to what some Sunderland fans told us at the time we bought him, that he blows a bit hot and cold. Personally I think he should be doing better because we often play with two out and out wingers in Pennant and Etherington. Some fans think he̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ã âlazy̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ in the way they sometimes do, but I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t think so. I just feel his head drops sometimes. Damn. I suppose that means he'll get two against us. http://salutsunderland.com/2011/02/stoke-who-are-you-the-dirty-tag-is-just-dull/#more-19349
can understand their frustration, he must be a managers nightmare not knowing which one is going to turn up
well why buy him then? great deal for us, stop worrying bout what others are thinking will you and also buy yourself a decent car
Kenwyne got grief for his hot and cold performances, turns up one game, not the next. I'd say Kenwyne had more good games than Henderson recently. Does this mean Brucey will sell Henderson. Lets hope
Great deal for us? I really don't think so. We made no profit from a player we signed for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã6m from the championship who went on to have three good seasons in the premier league. People say he's lazy but he's a big lad and I never wanted him wasting his energy doing donkey work and chasing lost causes. I don't think B**t would have got as many goals if not for Kenwyne. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't last season his best goals return? Kenwyne for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã6m or Carroll for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã35m, I know what id do.
dont think he ever had alot of talent he had a lot of pace but was never the same after his injury canny in the air like but couldnt trap a bag of cement or strike a ball a times think he had clown boots on
As much as I liked Kenwyne, I think in hindsight Bruce was correct to sell him. We as a club have moved on from him now - good luck to him and thanks for the service
I did love him, and I hope that he gets a good round of applause from our end on saturday. However, he is a bit of a lazy bugger, but it was him that kept us up - without him, our only striker would have been Chopra for a season!
Kenwyne is 3 times the fella Bent will ever be, spent 4 years I recall with SAFC and was key to our survival in the PL. Left on good terms with the SAFC fans and will always be welcomed at the SOL. Unfortunately he wa snot in Bruce's plans for the future but good luck to him at Stoke. I bet he spumped up for the game on saturday though to proove Brucey wrong.
He scored against us at home! (incorrectly disallowed) He also scored against the unwashed - good lad
Kenwyne was totally unplayable on his day, was a shame he could never be bothered to put his shift in. At sometimes I wish we'd held onto him, I think Gyan would do great playing off Kenwyne. But then again, we've moved on now and we're doing more than okay without him. Don't think he'd really benefit from this seasons style of play either
Prob score against us on sat now but he was one of the most infuriating players we have had in recent years. Great when talk of a transfer was on the cards or a big club came to town then disapeared the week later. Has the talent to be a fantastic footballer but not the application. Should take a leaf out of Phil Bardsleys book.
