from the replay i saw, ospina starts his dive late and doesn't even really dive across. Just thought it looked quite poor myself. I reckon Ospina tried to react anticipating dier might be sticking it down the middle
Ospina could/should have reached it. You would have been giving Pickford pelters if he had failed to save that pen.

Can i just say that last night i sat through what was possibly the worst game of football i can remember watching in its entirety . The only redeeming feature at all in the morass of poor football , poor player behaviour , weak refereeing and almost total lack of excitement was winning a penalty shoot out.
If pickford stood that far to one side I would certainly.give him both barrels.
you cant give dier abuse really for slotting it in those circumstances as on another day he might take it totally differently if the keeper stands in the middle.

Was under the pump when we were under pressure and Dier didn’t help either as we dropped back more and more. See Ja606 for a more balanced opinion. Still limited but important for the system.
