Colombia looking the more likely to score by a distance. Subbing Sterling for Vardy now seems to have hurt.
Hated talk over the years of 'no point practising penalties because you can't recreate the pressure' - they've gone over them meticulously & reaped the rewards. So happy.

Our fairly young and inexperienced group showed a lot of character and resilience The first half of extra time was tough - but they re-grouped and finished the game strongly How cool did Dier look!!!! This all bodes very well for the future - throw in lads from the younger age groups who have also done well, and we could be a force in world football.in the near future
The only slight concern I have about this England side is lack of goals from open play, get that right and we can go all the way .
If I'm really honest, I feel, every game we start well.....first 20 mins we look the business...after that we run out of ideas and then look quite ordinary.. But we dug in, something previous England teams failed....onward and upwards!
