So if he goes else where then who does that leave? i know a few on here have already siad no to him. But if no one else is available then at least he'd be an option.
Best news I have heard this transfer window so far. Why would we want this lad (totally untried and untested) whn we have invested over 10m in 2 young lads of our own that we could use in a similar vein. We have to play Connor Wickham and Ji Dong Won long before we would ever consider this lad.
I think he'll turn out to be a half decent striker before long, but it didn't help that people were calling him the "next Del Piero" when he was 17. That's a lot of pressure for a young player, and so far, he hasn't even looked like the next Francis Jeffers.
Totally agree mate...He definitely looked like he was going to be a star, but maybe the pressure of it all got too much for him..I still believe he will one day prove that he is a good player, but as Cestria said, we already have players who are unproven, and another gamble is not what we need right now.
Same was said last year when we got Welbeck. 'Why are we signing him when we have young players of our own to play' we all said.
Yes but at that time we hadnt just invested over 10m on a couple of hot young players had we? What do you think Comnnor Wickham in particular would think if having bought him (with over 60 games for Ipswich in a competitive level) was side lined for a man utd reserve who no doubt will have to play as part of the loan deal? I'd be asking my agent to get me the **** out of here ASAP if it were me. We should play Wickham much more this season (he cost us just short of 8.5m unless you forgot) in little bits of games and leave Man Utd to sort their own out this year thank you.
