The draw as it is, could not be better for England! It really couldn't be better.

 

Well I'd rather be playing Japan than Colombia tbh but yes a great chance if we play well.

 

Nothing official from the Colombian camp, but their journalists all seem to think that James Rodriguez won't start tomorrow because of the injury that he got against Senegal. However, they still do have Radamel Falcao.

 

It's in England's hands. Nothing to fear from any of the teams on our side of the draw. Reaching the final is ours to mess up...

England v Mexico final would be amazing!! (Although, highly unlikely)

 

Looking at the stats. this is the stage when Mexico are likely to go out, but we will see.

 

Only four team left have higher world rankings than us (we are 12) - Brazil(2); Belgium(3); Switzerland(6); France(7).
Only Switzerland are in our half of the draw so theoretically are the ones to get to the final!!

 

Mexican keeper is having a terrific game so far.

 

Seen the good and bad of Neymar.

 

One always thinks about the attacking force that is Brazil, but they certainly know how to defend as well.

 

For me the good doesn't outweigh the fact that he's a theatrical little twat. Really great players don't act the way he does.

To be fair they are playing like dark horses - Shergar, red rum and Nijinsky wouldn't have looked out of place in this side tonight.
