The impossible task Liverpool face over Mohamed Salah after new contract Liverpool CEO Peter Moore said the club are on the hunt for "next Mohamed Salah" - but Reds face the impossible task https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...liverpool-mohamed-salah-new-contract-14844612
Wonder how long this'll keep the hacks off their "Salah to Real/Barca/Anyone I can think of" stories.
There was one or two on here telling us Salah would be gone this summer and we had no chance of hanging on to him
24 hours.... well until england are out of world cup this end. i presume the spanish hacks will come out of mourning and slaughtering thier side shortly and start up at it.
Bit optimistic, imo. I was thinking a few weeks until they can start saying the contract just increases his value.
But Klopp will know alternatives to the Allisons and Oblaks........if Klopp is happy to maintain Karius as no.1 then he is saying he rates and trusts the keepers ability surely?
Perhaps, but not necessarily. He might think that the only keepers available aren't enough of an improvement, and that those who are are just way over-priced. I honestly can't see how anyone can justify a team with our aspirations going into a new season with Karius as no.1. I felt as sorry for the guy as anyone in the aftermath of the CL final, but we can't build a team around sentiment. He might be strong enough to overcome that disaster, but equally he might fall apart when the pressure builds again. How can we take that risk?
spanish are out of world cup. the only thing they have is to savage team and spanish FA and then go made on rumours. I would give them a week of feeding frenzy on national team and then once that is done they will want to go made on rumours to drown out world cup finishing up. media ****hounds
If we get the right keeper he can't be over priced. A good keeper is priceless these days. Watched a really good interview with Mel Reddy about it, she knows her stuff. I wasn't convinced about big money on a keeper till I listened to what she said. A solid keeper is absolutely priceless. If we're prepared to spend 75mil on a CB then we shouldn't be worried about spending big on a keeper.
true. Its up to the manager. his head is on the block on his decisions. if we don't get a keeper then it is what it is. We can see who a few players and more coaching transformed city. Ederson was one and two full backs also. silva, debruyne, sterling ,aguero, fernandinho, otamendi were all there already. walker and ederson made a difference. For us I feel as though the front 3, new midfield and 3 of the defence is there. GK and RCB would be nice. more forward cover is also vital. Just to improve us.
Yeah maybe not Alisson - but I'd certainly pay 88mil for Oblak. That instantly turns us into real contenders. Potentially that 88mil could be returned in one season. We paid 75mil for VVD and won approx that in the CL, so he paid for himself in that sense.
I've no opinion of who GK should be. theres a big jump to prem in terms of batterings given out #. theres lot of high quality guys who might do the job but they have to settle in england. inevitably there will be a transition period.
