I completely understand why people are choosing to stay away and I will never have a pop at those doing so, I just can't see why those who choose to continue to support the team (not the allams) by attending home games or continuing with their membership should be slagged off and said to have no dignity
They had no choice over the home end. The police said they wouldn't police it otherwise. City couldn't risk the repercussions of it not going ahead. Millwall soon caved in on an argument about money owing when given the same option of paying up or the police refusing to police it. The mindset of Humberside Police can be judged by the fact the idiotic copper in charge thought it was such a good idea he wanted it made permanent as they could park any away coaches and escort away fans to the stadium keeping them away from home fans. Only when it was pointed out the ridiculous situation of having the rest of the ground full whilst one coach full of away fans occupied the South Stand was the idea shelved.
That's the Martin Fish version. Why didn't he make it all ticket? Because he wanted to make as much money as he could from visiting fans.
And they shouldn't, it is up to them whether they go or not. I was in the still go camp, but decided enough was enough, just my personal choice, but would never have a go at others with a different point of view.
Uriah Rennie allegedly said one more pitch invasion and I'm abandoning this game. What a massive shame we never had the 3rd pitch invasion. Spotlight would have been on Fish/ Calam and their monumental blunders/idiocy in planning for this game.
