Same, not the worst thing to have Karius in net next season. Honestly would rather that than spunking 70million on Alisson who, honestly from what I've seen, is not even close to being a top drawer goalkeeper and could end up being one of the biggest wastes of money ever. I would be testing the water for Courtois though who isn't too settled at Chelsea if anyone.
He's gone downhill but he's far better than karius. Think courtois will go Spain as his family are there which explains why he isn't putting in any effort
Imo it's the hip. He can't run at all now and can't stop injuries. I think someone pointed out at west Brom debut that he never bothered warming up properly and was injured in 3 mins so question his focus and tbh I just think once the hip goes no player comes back. He has has a succession of groin and hamstring injuries
Nah you could see karius making lots of mistakes in the games even if he wasn't being punished for it. His kicking in particular and him parrying the ball into the centre of the area. Of course he did improve in the 2nd half of the season though but you never judge a keeper over a 3 month spell else reina would never have made legend status. I'm not a big fan of courtois anymore but I would not touch karius with a bargepole.
Basically VVD gave him enough confidence to improve. Still not good enough to stay for me. I'd rather Greez be our keeper tbh.
Allison certainly doesn't look good enough, but if Karius is our keeper next season then we are a joke. Let along all the pressure and ridicule he will receive. Never going to end well
