Poor all around there, striker was clear through on an empty net so, red card for the defender. Modric never looked anything like confident, the keeper was 2 yards off his line when the ball was kicked.
He played the ball hence not a red card. The rule changed ages ago. Good goalkeeping to feint right and go left. His back foot was closer to the line than most goalkeepers are for pens.
should've seen red, the excuse he made an attempt at the ball is BS as it was a tackle from behind which is illegal, he knew exactly what he was doing, stopping a guaranteed goal
You know what I mean. Fuds on Twitter ask this question every time there’s a penalty for this. The rule has been in place at least a year.
I know the rule mate and going through the back of a player is not a genuine attempt to play the ball.
