What p1ssed me off yesterday was all the French subs running on the pitch every time the French scored.. FIFA should say that if a team does this in future the goal scorer gets booked and if it's a second booking he's off!

It’s been a growing trend throughout the tournament by most teams - it wastes so much time & should be stopped.

Much as it pains a true patriot to say it, it would get messy if we came up against France.

    Mbappe v Harry Maguire <yikes>

I see the Russian press are saying how ugly the English WAGS are <laugh> in this case... it's hard to argue against the Russians.

Gotta say I'm not sorry to see the back of Spain. Their match against Portugal was one of the best so far.......except when Spain took the lead. There's a tactical trend that if winning and you hit the opposition on the break, when the choice is to go for the jugular or the corner flag, go for the corner flag. Spain have some lethal players, but they also are happy to convert a nice attacking position into a trip to the centre circle, something which England seem keen to copy.
Goals win games - giving away possesion in the corner to wind a measly 10 seconds off the clock is an irritant.

Agreed, I think everyone has grown bored of Spain and their tedious "tika taka" krap - it is only "beautiful" when it ends in a goal, surely?
Good to see karma pay Sergio Ramos a visit.

France are undoubtedly the best team in the W/C, but it's not always the best team which wins it. Think of the great Hungarian side of the 1950's, the great Dutch side of Cruyff, or the Brazil side of 1982. And Greece won the Euro's with probably the least talented team ever to win a trophy. So the way this W/C is panning out, with no Italy, Holland, Germany, Argentina, Spain or Portugal there are an awful lot of fans in Russia, including England's, who can be dreaming winning it. Superb.

Didn’t someone suggest Belgium were going to win the World Cup?
