I do hope the theme that "a well drilled side is better than one containing a single excellent player" continues into the Championship next season...
Missed both games as was out yesterday. Just watched Uruguay, saving the France game as the main course. Cavani's second goal was a joy. Great to see Ronaldo go out, and that poor Portugal team. Torriera had another masterful game. He would add so much to Arsenal.
Yea, looking forward to that. Gotta wait until the gf goes off and does something. I woke up a few hours before her so could fit one game in this morning
France game was a belter. They looked devastating on the break. some stunning goals over both games. Pavard's was my favourite.
Blatantly pen not given to Spain after VAR in the last few minutes of extra time. How strange..... £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
Spain go out with a flying volley penalty save! No Spain No Germany No Italy No Holland No Portugal No Argentina No Chile
I had the exact same thought when I first saw it. It was interesting to see Mark Clattenburg on ITV say it was the right call. Ramos managed to wrap the defenders arm around him apparently, and make it look like he was dragged down. It was still a poor challenge, but not a "clear, obvious error"
After the two games yesterday, it was a tough ask for two more in a similar vein - but 2to have two such dreadful games???????
I thought the Ramos tussle was both fouling each other. Pique who was in front of them was held down and prevented from jumping for the header.
Croatia looked sh*te. Not worried about them anymore. Colombia is a big challenge. Get through that, and we have as good a chance as any.
