They know how to win though. That's why I want them out now so in the event England do get to the semis we won't play them. I wouldn't fancy England to beat Spain.
I want them out cos they're ****ing dull. I'm not too bothered about who England play tbh, Colombia won't be easy and we just need to take it one game at a time. They'd get torn apart by the likes of Uruguay.
I think the fact tey have so much talent but choose to play like this "because they know how to win" makes me despise them all the more.
Shall we mention Denmark at the Euro 1992 (?) tournament toppling the mighty Germans to win it and the great Laudrup? Shall we mention Sweden in 1994 coming 3rd? Shall we mention the plethora of Scandinavian players who have played for teams throughout the PL and EPL down the years? If that is not making a contribution, I don´t know what is!!
But hold on... those teams were effective but dull. Why are Russia less worthy than them? Might as well add the famous Euor winning Greece team...
I think probably because of their build up results, when they hammered Argentina and Germany... little did people realise about those two nations.
Did I mention Spain? They are playing badly but it is hard to play a team that is literally parking the bus.
Russia made the semis of a tournament just a decade ago, but Denmark winning a tournament (that they didn't originally qualify for!) 26 years ago justifies it. So in other words there's no actual logic or thought process behind any of these posts, you're just picking your favourites?
Whilst they were not Brazil or the French at their glittering best, they were not dull. And you ignored the second point entirely, Spaced Saint! Swedes who have played for Southampton?
