    Is that the zoo in Shanklin? Went there last year thought it was horrendous some of the enclosures and condition of the animals was heart breaking.

    I love seeing animals like these, but I don’t like zoos as most of them, although good intentions, aren’t great for the animals. Rescued animals is slightly different.

    The big cats are all rescue animals and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be allowed to take them without the relevant licences and inspections. The zoo featured a few years ago on a TV series....Tiger Island (I think)….which showed how they tried to vary the animals days. And it must be remembered that the life they have here has to be better than in a circus or boxed in cages in apartment blocks. A couple of tigers have died recently, but that is expected as they tend to be old. Have no idea about the quality of the rest of the zoo.

    The Isle of Wight Zoo run by Charlotte Corney is at Sandown, I don’t know if that’s what you meant?

    Yeah must be that one. The least maintained zoo i have ever been to. It obviously must be up to standard to still be running, just a shame the standard is so low.

    It wasn’t you on the bus who gave us a tenner to NOT play, was it? :emoticon-0140-rofl:

    Had a great day, didn’t lose anyone to tigers or other IOW beasties and collected £110 for Wave105 cash for kids.
    Best bit was when we were playing in a cafe and we asked if anyone had any requests. A young lad said sarcastically “I don’t suppose you have any Lady Gaga do you?” And we stunned him with (IMO) a really good version of Poker Face <laugh>

    And we don’t “butcher” songs, we aren’t actually that bad, even though I say it myself!
